Cami Roebuck is an actress, filmmaker, and artist.
The daughter of a professional clown and an artist, Cami is an expert in the strange and unusual. Here is her artistic journey so far....
Before getting into acting and filmmaking Cami began her artistic voyage via cosplaying (making and wearing costumes from comics, video games, movies, TV, etc. and wearing them to comic and pop culture conventions) and attending conventions at the ripe age of 7 and eventually began cosplaying at a professional level several years later. Soon she was being invited as a guest to comic and pop culture conventions all over the southeast US where she set up a table, sold prints, signed autographs, and took pictures with fans. Along with that she and her family also sold geek and horror themed handmade goods from their Etsy store, The MHC Workshop, at these conventions. Throughout her cosplay career, Cami has been featured in numerous publications such as Marvel's Costober Fest, MTV's Dragon*Con Coverage, Wizard World Magazine, Cosplay Culture Magazine and many more. She has also been recognized with awards for her costuming, including Best Comic Book Duo at Dragon*Con, 1st place team-up in Wizard World New Orlean's inaugural costume contest, first runner-up in Pensacon's inaugural costume contest, and 3rd place in the legendary tier at the Smite World Championship and HiRez Expo 2017. Having a cosplay career spanning 15 years, Cami was no stranger to playing characters, but she wanted to take it to the next level.
In 2017 Cami decided to change lanes and dove into the world of acting and filmmaking, something she had always had a fondness for since she was very young. Since, formally, diving in she has made featured appearances on NCIS: New Orleans, The Purge TV series, and Babak Anvari’s Hulu original Wounds. Cami has also starred in numerous independent projects playing principal and supporting roles including, Mean Spirited playing Samantha, Alphaville playing Timber, Sister Tempest playing Margaret, and Children of Sin playing Kris. Along with that, Cami has also written, directed, did fabrication for, and starred in 2 of her own short films: Broad Daylight (2018) and Ghosted (2020), both of which can be seen on Cami's YouTube channel. As of the start of 2020, Cami is in production on a short film series with mother, Tiny 'T.D.' Roebuck called The 12 Sacred Moons in which she is acting in, writing, directing, and doing much of the fabrication for. The first six installments can be watched on her YouTube channel.
